Why is so much of my time required to clean up other people messes (incompetence/laziness/inconsideration/etc.)? The email scams are almost 1/day.

Plus, I get so many spam calls even though I'm on the do not call list. Tonight, a Paypal scammer phoned me 9 times to get me to answer. I had blocked them after the 2nd call.

So far, we're lucky most scammers can't spell. But come on, do they think we can't see them changing fonts? How can they be real scammers if they're not more careful? Or are we being conditioned for something that's yet to come? Identity theft should start at 20 years and go up from there; zero tolerance.

Have you been scammed?
(I've been stung 3 times, all in search of a mate, whatever that says,... OK, I've been desperate. Once was interstate wire fraud and after giving the FBI all the info they could possibly need, crickets. Speaking of incompetence...)

I just became comfortable with not finding a mate. Being happy with myself, as it were, so my happiness is no longer dependent on anyone else. I delete most of my email shit without looking at it.

NEVER give out ANY of your info online, not even a phone number, even i & my 10" tablet can find out A Ton of stuff about you with your phone number, like your home address, in about 3 seconds.
A Huge example is this mistake made on dating sites..."let's talk on the phone before we meet"......BAD IDEA!!!!!
instead of driving your own car to meet somewhere public for coffee, why not have the (potential rapist/ax murderer/swindler) pick me up so we can save gas...are you outta yer mind???!!!!!????
Can you hear the laughter at the police station after you tell them you got into a stranger's car/invited them in and something bad happened? No prosecutor in their right mind will want to be botherd with your dumbass.
And monetary fraud is actually impossible to track down if done via internet. FFS Use Paypal, especially when dealing with a new business, duuuuhhhhhh.

In a futile attempt to get me to sign up for a paid email account MS have flooded my inbox with Junk Mail mostly from hookers and various other scammers. Rarely, do we get scam phone calls with the exception of one that purports to be an insurance company calling about ‘an accident” that took place on such and such date. For fun I once talked to someone for ten minutes, I gave a false name and made up address and at the end of the call I had the pleasure of telling the caller that I have not owned a car for more than ten years.
