Any other INFJ out there? How does it affect your life most?
I’m very introverted and avoid social contact unless I’m self-motivated to participate. My saturation point is low! I don’t answer my phone unless it’s close family, nor do I answer the door. I’ve met two of the neighbors(been here a year) because I couldn’t avoid it?. Nice folks, but.
My empathy can be a problem too. I attract toxic people...also, I can sense the emotions of others, which can be exhausting/overwhelming. Retreat is my protection.
Just a thought but if you talk privately with the extroverts out there and let them know what your comfort zone is then you will find that a lot of us will tone it down a bit. Extroverts aren't insensitive by nature we just don't always get it when Piglet clams up because we're just naturally being Tigger, so sometimes we just need a heads up so we can adjust a bit.
I don't know if I'm INFJ, exactly, but I am very introverted. It's very to maintain casual friendships (or start new ones), because I rarely speak. I'll answer questions, but usually can't keep a conversation moving. Social obligations with coworkers are the worst; I always feel like I don't belong. I can get comfortable with people if we spend a lot of one-on-one time together, but relationships can't really progress in a group setting. I'll usually just keep my mouth shut and try to avoid being talked to.
I do better in very small groups or one on one. Something like a party is a nightmare! There’s a test online to tell you your personality type.
Pick one thing and work up to it. For example be the first to say hi to a passerby. Then when (not if) you achieve that, reward yourself. Baby steps
Sorry, ENTP but without you mentioning that you are an INFJ it would have been lost on me.
I didn't know what INFJ meant....the website above can help others who are also in the dark about INFJ
You can take the red pill or the blue pill....
