Times change - so laws, including constitutions, need to keep up.
Britain has NO WRITTEN CONSTITUTION, so can interpret the law flexibly. Is it time for the USA to adopt something similar?

I would not recommend the British model. The UK is the outlier in this respect, and it functions there because they know how to deal with it, how to muddle through. In other countries we need some sort of legal operating system

... or perhaps invite Britain to recolonise for, say, 40 years .... until the present batch of hard cases are irrelevant?? 😁

@Petter I'd say that GB has enough problems of its own these days.
A population, the majority of which falls for a political clown like Boris, is not fit to teach lessons to other countries. Trump never won the popular vote, but Boris did, in a landslide.

@Thibaud70 Boris also went out in a nasty slide. At least he was entertaining - from a distance. πŸ™„

Flexible interpretation would be a change backwards. And don’t mention AI!

Inflexible interpretation sounds like that applied to a religious book.
Works well for the first couple of hundred years after being written, but then becomes more and more outdated and out of step with an evolving society.
AI would be comedy script!

I’m thankful the US has a constitution.

Oh, the constitution that 45 would suspend, that one?

@273kelvin The Democraps are the ones who would like to do away with the constitution. Hell they don’t even recognize the 2nd amendment as giving private citzens the right to own firearms and appoint judges who will interpret it like they want it.

@273kelvin, @TheInterlooper Very true!

@Trajan61The Democraps are the ones who would like to do away with the constitution."
Really? Btw there is a bit more to your constitution than the 2nd amendment, You know the one you haven't read properly either.
Here are the very words from your fuher via Pravda sorry Truth
"Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,”
[edition.cnn.com]

@273kelvin There were all kinds of lies told to help Biden win the election and he has turned out to be a terrible leader with rampant inflation, rising crime and record illegal immigration. Hopefully the American voters will wise up in 24 and throw the SOB out!

@Trajan61 So you are in favour of suspending the constitution then?
Btw 787,500,000 reasons why you bought the lies
