I just used Google takeout to grab all my pics and put them on my home media server. For each picture there was a json file (see pic) showing that they had captured and were storing the creation time, exact location, what it was uploaded from, any local folder it may have been uploaded from, and the device that uploaded it. For anyone who was ever curious what data gathering looks like see the pic below. Using AI, facial recognition, and by cross referencing it would not be difficult to extract and predict who went where when. And they have all the store locations and could extrapolate shopping history, even what billboards you might have seen. Then they could feed all that into predictive analytics and figure out where you were probably going to be ahead of time. And all this is under my account with my name, email, phone number, etc. And they might be the biggest but they are not the worst.

*Since it came from the google photos app the local folder information and device folder data is empty in the pic

This sort of thing is exactly why I fly under the radar so to speak. I have no home media server and I erase and kill parts of my cell phone and my computer operating system. Cortana is dead, for example. She is a spy. If you use Windows on PC they want to give you a newer update every 90 days and it is like knocking down dominos to show you who is boss. I have programs in place to prevent this and I would never use facial or voice recognition for anything.
