'That horse already left the barn several months ago. At this point neither the CDC nor the current Administration can recover from continued gaffs, no matter how they try to frame their policies as "following the science". Many of us saw enough the past 3 years to confirm their policies & recommendations were based on a political agenda more than on science. For example, the FDA reported in 2021 that the risk of myocarditis among young vaccinated males was nearly 29 times as high as vaccine manufacturers predicted. But people who raised those concerns or argued that immunity after infection was equal or better than the vaccine (before vaccines were even available) were mocked as being hopelessly stupid or members of a cult. Posts to social media & even medical forums were deleted or flagged as "dangerous misinformation". I bookmarked that FDA report, knowing some would claim it wasn't true.'

'I agree with the commenters here. Why denigrate the unvaccinated? They may have a myriad of reasons to refuse the vaccine not related to 'misinformation'.

The current change in policy to only one vaccine dose being efficacious shows a real lack of scientific reasoning and it's that type of unsureness that causes people to mistrust the government. This has been true throughout the pandemic.'

No, Doc, they refused because they saw back then what you're finally seeing now. Two 3 letter groups who can't seem to make a sound decision and stick with it. Two groups who have continuously 'botched' things. Two groups who you think you know better than, so much so that you wrote a whole piece about it. Well, 30% of us also think we know better and thankfully, we live in a country that still affords us the freedom to act upon what we think is best for us.'

'It annoys me when people spew “unvaccinated…..due to politics or misinformation “. Neither my husband, 66, nor I, 70, got a Covid vaccine & will not. It had nothing to do with politics. God could be president and we still wouldn’t get that vaccine. Nor is misinformation the reason we didn’t, and won’t, get it. We just don’t need it or want it. We had Covid in January 2022 and both had only a 24 hour fever & sore throat. We don’t get the Flu, Shingles, Pneumonia or other vaccines either. And really, do people believe vaccine injured people are making up symptoms & issues? There is no guarantee these vaccines are 100% safe. It’s only the word of the Pharmaceuticals that produced the vaccines and made million of $$$$$ from them.

'Vaccine injury is very real. I know firsthand. It ruined my life and I have been ill for 28 months now. I am part of a very large community of Vaccine Injured individuals. To say vaccine injury is misinformation is absolutely misinformation.'

'Agree. The adverse events are real. My BIL, age 72 now, started with painful joints….every joint…. & muscles 2 days after his first dose. The symptoms continued to escalate when he got dose #2 until he could barely move his joints or walk. These symptoms continued for 12 weeks before there was any improvement. He still has issues from time to time. His Dr told him he’d had a number of patients with the same symptoms. Needless to say, he didn’t get a booster. Also, my son, mid 30s, had a case of myocarditis after his second dose.'

'Thank you for speaking. This portion of the article “ often for political reasons and because of widespread misinformation -- ” is so presumptuous. Many of us read the research, listened, watched, prayed, and read more research and came to the conclusion that the CONSENSUS and mandates were, in fact, political. Do not assume or imply the rationale behind vaccine refusal. I am SO glad not to have taken it.'
