I can vouch for the accuracy of this meme. My 2nd marriage "should" have been over before the 5 years mark. But the consistent hot sex kept it going until I just couldn't take the toxicity in the marital home any longer at the 20 year mark. Some of the best that I ever had. We were both fearful of losing the awesome sex. LOL. Seriously doubt that I'll ever find another lover like her. And she's 9 years older than myself.

Dangerously jealous, but matched in libido and creativity with me..mild S&M, fantasy play, costume, gender role switching, scenarios, etc. That old story that when a penny is put into a jar each time a couple makes love at the beginning of a marriage, then, after two years, removing a penny each time they do it, and jar never being emptied, didn't apply to us. We were going strong and long up to the end. I even gave him a good-bye strip dance before leaving him.

@TheLiberalGent YOU don't, but just the idea that you would stay in a relationship longer than you should have because the sex was so good you didn't think you'd ever have it that good again.
Sex is great but it isn't everything.

maybe it is to those people who haven't had it in over 10 years, Sex is a lot like Air. No one really thinks much about it until you're not getting any.
Been there with toxic partners. By year five, there WASN’T any sex: he announced he was done with it. So five more years of toxic, sexless, hell.
