I was contacted by my alma mater to have me give a zoom presentation to Biology class. A couple months ago, they gave me a date and told me they'd send me the zoom link shortly before the presentation date. I spent significant time assembling the info into a Power Point...

This morning, I'm emailing and calling, still with no response. Both women have my email and phone number. The ten-minute preparation period comes and goes with no emails or phone calls. The time for the presentation begins and time ticks by...
Seeing that my time to put this together has been wasted, I contacted the Dean's Office because I'm intent on giving these assholes a complaint. The secretary says she'll call one of the women. Another half hour later, that one calls me and, gives me an insincere apology.

I sent an email to the Dean.
If one is dealing with younger persons, it may be necessary to dial up the anal control-freak and keep them on a really short leash. I don't know if that would have helped, but I have to learn something from this...
I can't believe how incompetent some people are, but I'm getting used to it. It still hurts.
