To be fair I deleted this 2x. 2 DUIs a Russian spy and losing $100 bucks that was found next morning by me on the floor. There was a new bar in town (only one) and the cops waited across the street to bust DUIs the only problem was the town had no lawyer and the cops had to defend themselves vs the drunks.
We (husband & self) went to this bar and stayed until closing. One guy was beyond even keeping his head level and asked if one of us would drive him home and the other one would follow to get the driver back. What was fun is the vehicle I had to drive (husband refused to let me drive with the incoherent drunk who had been spreading around how he was a Russian living in the US because they liked infiltrating and learning our customs). Plus everything else a spy does. I think he was sad and lonely.

So Bruce drove the guys car, I followed in the Land Cruiser which only 2nd time behind the wheel of that huge bus like object that rocked back and forth.
The cops were waiting at a small mall for drunks, saw me go over the yellow line and came after us. Now the ground was still frozen from previous storms so even sober I would have been all over the road. I put blinker on (thinking how sophisticated a driver I was) and turned a sharp right behind my husband.
The cop who saw me go over the yellow line drove past me stopped on the left side of the road (and we weren't in England) he then made husband, stopped on the right do the side of the road test (he flunked).
The cops called in a 3rd cop- this had to be the story of the year until the day they busted some guy with enough pot plants that stunk up the station so you could smell it in a cell two towns over.
Meantime the cop came over to arrest me, my car was shut off. We went to the station and from another room my husband was yelling "DON'T SAY ANYTHING, HONEY" so whenever the 5-0 asked me a question I said, "I don't know, but did you interview the Russian spy? I think you're missing the big story here." We finally got home, two DUIs and one semi coherent Russian spy. Next morning I had to hunt down $100 and found it on the floor at the station. We hired the 2 top lawyers in the state who competed for getting people off DUIs.
The cops either forgot to take my license or allowed us to go to work and left my license with me. I had to live with husband, drive him everywhere, and had to work at his company where it was so boring I read books and he yelled at me to sweep or something. I shrugged "Um, interrupting chapter 10 yo." We hired the 2 top lawyers in the state who competed for getting people off DUs. In the end the chief kept violating the questioning process. And my case was dropped (this cop never saw me drive drunk, the two who had Bruce did.) The two who had Bruce also lost cuz they never saw him drive. So the story ended nicely with me recovering my $100. I think the Russia spy had a good story for Moscow.
