Compostable products which can replace plastics. It's a start, and an issue I really feel passionate about. Compostable food wrap is available on Amazon.com. While it's expensive, how much are we willing to save the planet?

Almost everything is packed in plastics of some kind. I use the products but the left over plastic gets burned outside in my burning barrel that is in my yard.

Just FYI, burning plastic releases cancer-causing dioxins into the environment. That's also why heating food that is wrapped in plastic in the microwave is also a bad idea. It's probably better to just throw it into a landfill, unfortunately.

Almost everything we buy that isn't canned comes wrapped in plastic. Bread, bacon, fruit, vegetables, soft drinks, etc. But they don't want you to put it in a plastic bag. Why don't they go after the manufacturers to make their packaging sustainable? It doesn't make any sense.

I'll check out that site you posted. I'm interested.
