After not having access to this site, I don't know why, finally I'm back. In the meantime I bought a motorbike, a Harley Davidson, which I've been dreaming of for a long time. Living in Ireland, I couldn't use it much due to the Irish Summer (crappy weather, basically). This has contributed to an improvement on my mental side of health. It's like a part of me that I recovered. I have cousins in France and they defied me to go camping with them near Montpellier, in a place that is a natural reserve. I basically took a ferry from Dublin to North France and crossed the country from North to South. The first photo was taken in the hotel I stayed overnight on the way to meet my cousins, the second was the influence I had on the little ones. I miss them already. The third one are the flamingos near the camping site. Hopefully new adventures like this will happen soon. I wish I could rotate the photos.

Trade it in on something a bit peppier and head over to the Isle of Mann.

Why should I do that? What fascination do I have about racing bikes and the Isle of Man?

@Paddypereira "Thunder in the glens" at Aviemore would probably be more suitable. Lots of fat guys on fat bikes making a lot of noise 😉. But that's just my distorted opinion.

@Moravian, lol!!! Well, there's no such a thing as a fat man, men have fallen chest muscle, due to a great investment in good food and booze. Nevertheless, the place you described seems to be perfect for me... lol!!!

@Paddypereira You are right of course, to afford a top of the range Harley you would have to be at least moderately well off and enjoy life. I'm sure you would love it. Thousands of Harley oweners descend on Aviemore for the weekend and have a great party. They are mostly from the UK but always a few from Europe.

@Moravian, although Harley Davidson is my dream bike and, fortunately, I already got mine, I'm not radical. If I have the chance of going to a rally like that, I know I'll enjoy it. Mine one is already giving me extra expenses... lol!!! Nevertheless, I'll keep it and enjoy it. I know that I'll have times that I'll be broke because of it but I don't mind. I'll keep playing the lottery, just in case lady luck strikes me.

Good to read that you're on the up & up.

Thanks. I hope you're doing well too.

@Paddypereira mixed particularly after the stupidity of covid lockdowns & restriction preventing normal exercise & life patterns. The only good thing has been to to realise that I haven't much time left in which to obtain pleasure & the fuckwit American desire for hegemony is not helping.

@FrayedBear, I believe your word about your surroundings. Nevertheless, it's still possible to find something to enjoy and make our lives worthwhile.

What are you riding? I have a Harley Davidson Street 750. It's the only HD that I could find that's not a "hog". I like the looks of yours.

A 1995 Sportster 1200. Exactly what I wanted from a Harley. Great ride

@Paddypereira for the age it looks to be in fine fettle.

@FrayedBear, it is. I need to fix a few small bits and pieces but it was a great purchase. I needed now more money and free time to use it the way I want, that is for travelling.

@Paddypereira g'luck. Unlike my brother I've never gone for bikes. He on the other hand used to teach the London police how to ride but was killed in a head on with another bike on the wrong side of the road nearly 30 years ago.

@FrayedBear, thanks. Sorry to hear about your brother. I think there are no dangerous bikes or cars, only dangerous drivers. I know anything can happen on the road so I always keep attentive to all what's around me, although I know that, sometimes, it's not enough. So far, so good. Hopefully it'll stay like this.

@Paddypereira stay safe.

@Paddypereira my brother and I weren't close. Strangely though I grieved his death more than each of the rest of my family who I no longer had any ambition with.

@FrayedBear, those are mysteries of the human mind. Happened something similar to me as well.

@FrayedBear, thanks, I will.

Nice to see you and your photographs…even on their sides! Yes..it’s been a very crappy summer but of course we’re having brilliant summer weather today…just as the school holidays end and the new term starts!

Unfortunately, I'm working nonstop until Friday. Hopefully, on Saturday, the weather stays decent enough so I can meet a mate and go for a spin. I missed this place and many things people share here, great that whatever issues that didn't allow me to access here seem to be gone.
