I too find this Russel Brand situation disturbing and it reeks because;
- 3 competing media outlets combine forces to create an exclusive.
- Police find out about allegations from the media
- They use an actor to convey rape allegations in a documentary; highly unusual.
- The witnesses were sought out by the media, not the other way around which begs the question "Were they paid?"
This is trial by media with innocent until proved guilty totally discarded.
Propaganda is always best when it contains some truth. Brand's lifestyle at that time is well known so the allegations are somewhat believable. This, however, does not make it any less of a hatchet job.
Why didn't these media organisations not inform the police before publishing? Because justice for victims is not the goal of this story, it is to discredit and cancel Brand.
Very dirty politics indeed. Youtube ain't what it used to be and I will be using alternates more often, like rumble.

Lot's. He always starts with support for Ukrainians in wanting peace to return and does not support Russian military action in the first place. Then he criticises, his own country for suppling depleted uranium ammo for example. For refusing to enter negotiations. Corruption in Ukraine. He goes against the official narrative, funnily covering his arse on youtube with constant "allegedly" interspersed throughout.
He was very good during covid with his questioning of narratives now totally justified in hindsight.
Over 6 million subscribers he had on youtube and growing. For comparison Tucker Carlson on fox used to pull 4 million, miles ahead of the competition in cnn, msnbc etc.
In short, Brand has become credible so time to discredit him.

Timing is everything. Seeing some reports of women who were approached by the same media but their stories not shown in the reporting. Guess what they all had in common, nothing bad to say.
If Brand never did stuff like this (link below), I think this wouldn't have been dragged up

Of course all the fanboys of this twerp are going to cry foul and say it’s a media and establishment conspiracy to get him…but the fact of the matter is here at home in the U.K. he’s been f***ing getting away with acting like a complete sexual sleezebag and boasting about it with impunity for 20 years. That is long before he turned himself into some anti-establishment, conspiracy theorist guru on the internet. You do have to ask though, if your intention is to seek justice for these women, why hasn't this information been forwarded to the police by the women? That is how media is supposed to work eg they report news, not create it bypassing the legal chain of command.
Have you read Joe Biden's daughters book? Showering with the old man at 14 is also sleazebag and the lack of media interest allowing Biden to "F*****"n get away with it". Passenger list for Epstein Island? Severe lack of interest in those sleazebags. So I ask why Brand and why now?
So I think I will wait for due legal process to take its course. I want to see criminal charges because allegations of Brand being sleazy is not news as you pointed out.
@puff Timing is everything is the old saying..and time alone will tell how this saga plays out. I still don’t think headlines like your lurid conspiracy ones are actually helpful and will only reinforce the idea that he’s been got at…when in fact he should’ve been stopped in his tracks a very long time ago..on that we can certainly agree.

@Marionville Yes we agree and no we don't. An excellent analogy is the USSR and Russia. The Brand this "breaking news story" is about no longer exists. But the memory remains strong and is unforgiving in so many.
Any criminal case has been jeopardised, again, by the media, a disservice to any victims. Glad you mentioned headlines because most people don't read past them and they stick like mud. He has already been deplatformed by YouTube on these unsubstantiated charges, no due process or natural justice afforded to him so that should tell you a lot.
