The movement of money to the top wealthiest American began 40 years ago. The money for politicians and special interests began pouring in and neither party was gonna give it up. EVERY crisis since Reagan was milked for all it was worth.
As it stands ALL of the GDP is going to the top 10% and nothing is trickling down to the 90%. Biden and many Dems are trying to change that course.
