I wonder if the actual facts of his assassination even still exist. I was only 10 and not at all politically aware but I remember the stillness in my mom as she watched the news. She was not a fan of Kennedy, the the Pope would taken over the WH.
I remember sitting in the classroom when our teacher was notified of the assassination and she turned on the TV as we watched the news. Even my parents, who were staunch republicans, were shocked and I remember watching the funeral procession on TV and feeling so sorry for John-John and Caroline.
I'm looking forward to listening to the podcast by Rob Reiner about what we've learned in the past 60 years about the assassination of JFK. I'm not sure we'll ever know what happened, since so much of the evidence was destroyed.
I was in class too when our teacher told us. I was in the 8th grade. I don't know if we will ever know the truth.
How quickly the time has passed since his assasination by those tasked with protecting him. How long you have & continue to mourn the fairytale that was endowed on him & that he was hoped to create. How sickening it must be for you if you genuinely recognise the reality of behaviour of USA & its citizens at home and abroad around the world in attempting to enforce your despotic hegemony around the world.
Maybe you should write a book about him.
@DenoPenno why? Do you think I've got the time?
