What is it that irritates you the most? Me? One of the top things on my list is to see misspellings, or improper punctuation on signage... In town, there was a business plaza, with a sign that read, in six foot tall letters, " LEE BLV'D", and it infuriated me every time I saw it. I was so glad when it got replaced.

I become irrational when cupboards or drawers are left open. It means nothing in the grand scheme of the world, but to me it drives me up the wall. So yes, irrationally angry and irritated at something that really is a non-issue.

Me too and I can't go to sleep if my closet door is open.
English Majors are not a favorite here. We are an indifferent conglomerated soul searchers whose Hebrew and Arabic are no where to be found. This website has a spell check that lites up every word that drives me crazy because I have to go to my phone and look up the word on my phone. Its what we say to "Keep It Reel" and look that one up for Punctuation and correct sentence structure.

@Sticks48 I think the post in question was from someone in Australia who can be a bit touchy on such matters. She is not an English English Major from England who can be a real problem. Chiquitin is going to work out if we have any serious issues and need valuable references and support.
Yes. Also the misuse of quotation marks. It's an epidemic!

People try to use them for emphasis and end up sounding sarcastic, instead.
In my town a golf driving range with sign that read 'Open Dusk till Dawn'. I used it as an example for bad design in my classes for many years. It had no lights!!!
