But currently the largest consumer of cobalt is consumer electronics. The other main use is in high strength/temperature steel alloys that are in components used all over a diesel power train. I love how electric vehicle haters all of a sudden concerned about child labor. To be human is be be a hypocrite……….

Not a hater of any kind , don't care, if others want them. . I'm not for mandating anything especially ecars that cost more, travel shorter distance and alot longer to fill up. I've had one mopad motorcycle that out lasted 4 ebikes combined. And that ended up the land fill sites so fast. All round electronics are less efficient and causing more pollution. They run with half the energy in the winter time. Only benefits is my small electric house building tools.
