As a non-believer, I really don't care if he is, isn't, or seems to be the antichrist, since even that would seem to make no difference these days to evangelical Christians, so what matters to me is, does he seem to be another Hitler? Which he clearly does seem to be, and thus, needs to be treated as equally dangerous, and as a very strong threat to our democracy. The evangelical Christians are clearly not going to oppose him, and are mostly just part of his cult following, so our only chance of our country surviving him as any kind of democracy, is if the rest of our secular citizens stand up to him and stop him, either thru voting, protest, and probably also, armed resistance, as our cops and military are likely to support him, rather than disobey and oppose him, should he regain power or we have civil war if he loses the election.

Everyone who does that is the antichrist. Antichrist is the biblical term for anyone who behaves that way. Believe or not believe makes no difference. In every society there are people with those tendencies, and given the right circumstances, they will rise to fill that role.

Generational wisdom is most effectively told and remembered as stories rather than as dry facts. Because we are familiar with this popular story, we are able to recognize those qualities in specific individuals.

The fable of the Fox and the Grapes had nothing to do with foxes or grapes. Hitler was the antichrist. Trump is the antichrist. There will be many more antichrists, or whatever you prefer to call them. It’s not about belief. It’s about pattern recognition.
