On my own, I would not able to learn much, but because of people, I am able to learn a lot more, because I study the people carefully no matter who they are.
I too learn by listening and asking questions. I have learned a lot from people here. There was a member here who was a former Congressional aide who served under Republicans and personally knows many of the people involved in the Russia investigation. It was fascinating to learn about his former college mates who are so involved in this administration.
The accent is on learn, not try to one upmanship them !
Oh, there are a lot of idiots do not know how to learn well, we need to help them, push them, motivate them, it a kind thing, in their little mind they may hate you for it because of Dunning Kruger effect.
Had a friend like that.. afraid to live life ..while overly concerned with what others thought. Turned out, he resented those capable of showing or acting on the emotions he couldn’t. Took him around a dozen years of college before going totally sour; now he’s so far gone I can’t find him if I try.
Don’t be afraid to trust yourself, as others may only disappoint…
Only fool afraid of other thoughts, To learn from people mean to study them, Not being foolish and think what they said is true, Idiots do not think so much, just think whatever people said is true, they do not really know the meaning of learning.
Humans are apparently better at aping one another than the apes. That’s how we learn.
One important thing though, it all depends on what people we’re with and who we’ aping!
