How is "evil" defined?

@Sag2016 in other words, "evil" is subjective and based on perspective? The Aztecs did not perceive human sacrifice as evil as they believed the cosmos would cease to exist without it. Xtians claim the Aztecs were evil for their practices, but see nothing wrong with their god having Jesus sacrificed. Moral evil is cultural/religious as many Xtians claim homosexuality is "evil," What is "natural" evil? How does an individual--or culture--determine what is "wrongful"? Why is a character flaw "evil" and what is one that is evil?
