oh dear

To be honest, I come here to get away from all the theistic worship posts I encounter on regular social media. I'm happy to listen to other ideas about life that have nothing to do with the tired old traditional supernatural theistic ideas of our source of creation.

I enjoy hearing ideas of alternative sources of creation, besides the divine written about in "ancient texts" as we are learning more each day about our reality. Science can uncover that in more realistic terms than superstition and sacred texts describing magical origins and how to live under authoritarian rule, with no understanding of fairness, equality, peace and harmony.

I'm more interested in our reality and what we can learn from our history to go into our future in a more reasonable manner toward peace and harmony than what we are currently experiencing. Hearing different perspectives on non-supernatural avenues toward the future can be interesting, but anyone wanting to me to harken back to theistic stories loses my attention quickly.

I take everyone as an individual at least at first. For as long as they don't try to impose, disrespect, or ridicule, we're good in general.

When you believe in things supernatural it mean you simply do not understand what has taken place to cause this belief.

As long as people are open to new ideas and not intent on conversion, I believe all things are open discussion and debate.

Nothings necessary when it comes to beliefs. As Ricky Gravis said, us and theists are basically the same. The only difference is that out of the 5000 odd gods kicking about, they just don't believe in one less than us.

It can. It also can not. Whether it is needful when being truthful, to be agnostic about everything, is a question about which I remain agnostic. It may be, that there are people who could be said to know something, and are still being truthful and not deluded, I have just yet to encounter one.
