Really no one near me.
Is there any value in not deleting my account?

I find to be tone a good source of community, even if it’s not big enough yet to serve as a dating site.

PS: my friends and I read Douglas Adams in high school. The Marvin line I recall was something like "... I'm only 50,000 times more intelligent than you,..." I'm sure not an exact quote, but we got a kick out of Marvin too.

Hi -

  • my impression (just an impression) is that this service is relatively new, and growing.
  • my impression is also that it's way better than some other others I've seen in the past.
  • if in the end you're really particularly focused on meeting only people a short distance from you, and are not at present focused on the other aspects of the site (developing one's thinking in discussions for example) then it might be of value to not bother to much with this service, so that you don't waste energy pursuing what for now may be a dead end. However, given that it's somewhat new and somewhat promising, I'd leave the account up at least for a few months (even if you don't even bother to check it more than once a month or so) and see if things turn around. Especially as atheists or agnostics, we're kind of up against it in finding capably run websites to meet like-minded folks, whether near or far away.

Ok Marvin, I mean Tuck... You get out of it what you put into it. Participate and then decide.
