In sports like American football, the outcome of games often hinges on critical moments and officiating decisions. Perhaps instead of betting on the game's final score, there's merit in considering the number of penalties assessed to each team. After all, penalties can significantly influence game momentum and outcomes. It's an aspect of sports that's often overlooked but could prove to be a more accurate predictor of success.
Depends on the sport I suppose. In Baseball, a player could commit an error, and some years I've observed the New York Yankees commit many errors, and yet somehow most of the time they at least make it to the playoffs.
Guess what I'm trying to say is, a team could make many errors/get penalized in a single season, and yet still keep it together enough to reach the postseason. So it depends, and you may or may not be correct about such being a good predictor of future success. Interesting take on that matter Mister Spear.
