In theology "wrong" is a highly subjective term
That's the great thing about religion, it includes the permissible act of redefining words, so that they mean what you want them to, when applied to god, church and morals.
In the last five hundred years, science has abandoned alchemy, Lamarkism, Phlostrogen, circular orbits for planets, an earth centric solar system, Terra Incognita, a stable unmoving crust, spontaneous generation, and a hundred other errors. Theologians still think that Thomas Aquinas is the most useful source of up to date thinking.
