Ignorance is the root and stem of all evil...

I like Plato's version better than the biblical "the love of money is the root of all evil", which is more abstract, as I believe the sense of the biblical version is that to love money and the pursuit of money, more than your fellow man, is the root of all evil. However, to pursue money at the cost of your fellow man, shows ignorance of the effects of your actions on the society in which you live. So, the biblical version isn't as all encompassing.

Then what is denial when one provides the facts which eliminates their ignorance & they still adhere to a falsity. Evil or mental disfunction currently referred to as "denial". Failure of the developing brain. The ability to adjust to new information. They can not or will not. Demented.

People who know the truth/facts but go on in denial are practicing "willful ignorance".

This assumes that if you show people the truth, using common words and simple concepts, that they will flip right on over to the Good.
MAGA proves that this is Not true.

Well, Plato did live a long time ago. I do think that it is much harder for evil to exist when truth is widely known.
