I think BRICS, especially the Russian federation (not the USSR) and the Chinese, have been wise to negotiate and aid Africa with no strings attached. Russia has forgiven much debt from the USSR days in Africa as well.
Macron's world is going to shit. Niger rid themselves of French forces weeks ago and now its the US's turn. I have a feeling that is why Macron is leading the anti Russia charge atm. Losing in Africa, NATO members doing their own thing re Ukraine, not setting the world on fire economically with BRICS moving forward. Macron's world is going to shit..
My big fear is the NATO West is becoming like Hamas. They are losing all hope for their cause and plan an "event" to try to turn things around before it's too late. They prefer a stale mate in Ukraine eg Cold War 2.0 is good for military business. But I don't think Putin's Russia want to play that game. They want the conflict ended asap and as none are willing to negotiate, it will have to be done militarily. This means a total surrender unless Zelenskyy gets rolled first and replaced with someone who will negotiate. Either way, it will be on Russia's terms. NATO/ US will be out of the loop.

It's simple, material logic. Ukraine does not have enough bodies or munitions to hold out much longer and NATO are unable to mobilise effectively for a drawn out, military campaign. If missiles start flying about, European cities air defenses are non existent. Russians will be fighting for their homeland. NATO will be fighting for tactical advantage. Which army will have better moral and motivation?

Then, of course, it won't just be NATO and Russia either. Plenty of countries would not allow Russia to fall to an aggressive "defense" organisation, NATO. If countries were not sure before who's side they would be on, what's happening in Gaza will help them firm their decisions. eg Which countries enable European colonial expansion via genocide in 2024? Clue? Look who's bombing Yemen in support of Israel.
