My screen name shytiger6 was more to do with my being an introvert born in the year of the Tiger. The number at the end was just and arbitrary choice to make it unique.

I originally cane up with the name to replace an older screen name of damn_nice, which I had meant to mean I was a damn nice person, but others took to mean I was conceited about my attractiveness.

You nay notice that both screen names have nine characters. That was to comply with an internet chat protocol, IRC (Inter relay chat), which sort of (mostly) died when AOL and Yahoo instant messengers came along. The need for unique names is that with IRC, whoever logged on with the name first that day got to use that name, and there were many people who can up with the same names. There were no "accounts" or passwords to lock a name into just one person.

In short, I was using computers back before windows even existed, and we were still using MS-DOS. Anyway, nobody duplicated my screen name from IRC, so I just kept using it.
