He understands that. He wants to be jailed cuz that will delay the trial, maybe until November.

I think if he were jailed for contempt, the trial would go on. He just wouldn't be going home between court sessions, but would be placed in lock up instead.

I'd like to see him cross the line one too many times and get a taste of what prison is like. I suspect the judge would only jail him for 3-7 days fro contempt. The question is whether or not that would be enough for Trump to abide by the gag order.
