@puff Nonsensical and illogical conclusion. I prefer to take my advice from medical professionals, scientists and immunologists who spend their entire lives working in this field. You reveal your lack of understanding of how this vaccine works. It was never claimed that it would completely protect from contracting the illness, but that it would slow transmission in the population and greatly lessen the risk of death should a person contract it.

It’s like all other types of wild claims and conspiracy theories…once they get something stuck in their heads there is no amount of logic or scientific proof that will dislodge it.

@Marionville How about someone with applied science qualifications, specialising in biology, who studied viruses quite thoroughly, including Flora and Fauna? Who studied herd immunities, herd contamination, breakthrough infections, meaningful immunity, pandemics and epidemics?
Polio vaccine stops transmission. Rubella vaccine stops transmission. Smallpox vaccine stops transmission. That is why we were able to achieve herd immunities with these vaccines with only 60% of the population being inoculated. With covid it was 50%. Oh make that 60%. Hang on, better bump that up to 70%. 80%. 90%. No, ALL have to get. That is not a vaccine, it is a pre-emptive medicine that will protect only you. They never even observed if covid medicines stopped transmission in trials before releasing on the public then had the Gaul to predict what percentage of the population needed it to achieve a herd immunity, which is impossible if a medicine does not stop transmission.
When it does not stop transmission, that is called a breakthrough infection. The very word "breakthrough" means not expected. Breakthrough infections were expected with covid however.

@puff It wasn’t mandated…there was no compulsion to take the Covid jab. At least not in my country…it was however highly recommended. Perhaps you can’t remember how many otherwise healthy people succumbed to the illness in the first wave in early 2020 and how many people actually died from contracting Covid in the period before the vaccine was rolled out. I know many people who died, others who lost close relatives and some others who had to be ventilated and recovered only to have the lingering symptoms today of Long Covid. Don’t try to tell me that it was otherwise and that it’s just a mild form of flu-like illness as @1patriot does. It’s patent rubbish to allege that more people died from the vaccine than from Covid…just unbelievably stupid people or the wilfully ignorant think that is the case.

@Marionville The first strain was deadlier, no doubt about that. Australia was lucky we kept that one out. The later strains were not and the "vaccines" were always behind the 8 ball, exactly like influenza ones eg last years strain. No meaningful immunity which means long term eg 2 years at least.

It depends what you define as mandated. Many work places insisted like nursing, police. Many businesses I could not enter without showing vax proof. They refused to let me see my father in a nursing home, but I got around that one by pulling safety on them.

I don't really care anymore just want freely given consent for any and all medical treatment, like it has always been pretty well throughout human history. Hippocratic oath and all that, to do not harm and using coercion like "take the jab or lose your job" causes mental harm.

I am somewhat surprised though people are not more mad at people like Fauci who just admitted the social distancing, 6' apart etc, was not based in science one iota, he plucked that one out of his arse.

What I do remember very clearly is "Don't take it for yourself, take it for grandma" which was a bullshit guilt trip to thrust on young people who were never at great risk, especially when authorities were aware it was not stopping transmission. From memory there was a nursing facility in the UK that avoided the worse casualty wise by ignored these government directives. That manager has my admiration as he used his common sense and kept his residents safe against enormous pressure. The huge early death rates in the US had a lot to do with moving covid patients to nursing homes, especially in New York. Places like India and Japan who were prescribing Ivermectin, now approved by the CDC as a treatment for Covid, had far less trouble than "The West". Africa the same. Remember all the shit heaped on Joe Rogan? Horse medicine and all that crap.

I have a simple philosophy. All medical treatment requires consent. Informed, freely given and without coercion consent.
Applies to vaccines. Applies to all medical treatment including abortion.
It is why I am against hormone treatment for youngsters. An immature mind is unable to give informed consent as they are not yet mature, this is the legal stance backed up by science. That's why they have guardians, usually parents, to make those decisions for them. Those who encourage this sort of treatment on kids, which will make them sterile male or female, are very poor guardians imo and are not making decisions in the child's best interest. Wait until they are of legal age then they may make the decision themselves.
I went to school with a lot of Tomboys eg girls not into dolls but would rather fight and roll in the mud with the boys. Pretty well all of them turned into spectacularly, beautiful women. I wonder how many of those types today have been pressured into hormone therapy. Criminal imo.
