What is on my mind? Besides the anti-social bald wretchedness of the Republican Congress, I think about this quote a lot:

"At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is...
and there is only the dance."

I think about Puccini, Chopin, Copeland-- and actually, Buckethead.

I could go on for awhile, but just a bit more. Here are some words from my plate to yours: William James, Dostoevsky, Dada, Baby Driver, Eminem, Godard, Elizabeth Warren, cioppino, Lucien Freud, Breugel, animal friends,"bathed in light," and we will end with Occam's Razor.

Last item: I am in my 60's. I live in both Bakersfield, CA (where I teach), and in San Diego. I am outside--in many senses-- whenever possible.

Please say hello! I will pour virtual coffee.

I'm not sure how to begin but I'm searching for a partner
that is well-educated and hope we can learn new things together
with many of the same common interests. I also
like share interests she is interested in.
A person that enjoys learning new things enjoy science
and technology. I'm in no hurry to make fast decisions
I usually take a long time to make serious decisions.
I'm not good at writing I prefer to talk on the phone or
use of video chat program that is available on the Internet
I use Dragon naturally speaking because it's so much easier
than typing. In my life working in a factory it seems
like I have always been the teacher, I rarely meet
intelligent people and now that I'm retired it is even
more difficult to meet intelligent people.

Ah, T. S. Eliot, "Four Quartets!" Love it!

Welcome from a denizen of the Kentucky boonies and Bible Belt wasteland.

You'd fit right in in Bakersfield. We'd pull out an opaque stanza or two for you to make you feel at home. Even a Harley shop.

I love your quote. Whose?

If it is "the dance" quote,it is T.S.Eliot, from Burnt Norton, one of the Four Quartets. You can find it here:

Hello! I spent about a year in SoCal but I was up in the high desert near Victorville.
It's was just that, a desert full of Joshua trees. lol

Paul:
Victorville should be a movie set for a dystopian Netflix series. It is pretty surreal. Barbara

@giddyup I worked concrete there so I was all around.
I actually lived in the lovely city of Apple Valley, and we kept our equipment in happy Hesperia. We did some work in Victorville but I say I lived near there because people know where that is compared to the other two. ????

The dance of the politicians as they perform and tRUMP applauds like royalty.

It would be nauseating if it was not so perilous. All in on the big party to cut the poor and middle class off at the knees.Trump does not look like a man who has wanted for a meal or health care his entire life. Zero empathy from this president and his minions.
