My weather app says I have about two hours of this dramatic thunderstorm tonight. It just started. My bed is adjacent to the window, and I’m getting incredible, multiple slashes of light across the room. The thunder sounds like it’s coming up out of a tin can. I’ve heard that tinny thunder before on TV, but not in reality.
I adore storms. Bet I fall asleep soon enough.

I like to lie in bed and watch storms and lightning at night through the double glass doors of my fifth floor apartment here in Songkhla, Thailand.
During rainy season I get to see a lot of lightning shows!

I love storms, I just open the blinds and watch, my dog tries to push me out of the way. Other dogs I have had have been scared of storms, she loves them, in particular lightning.

That is amazing. Every dog I’ve ever had ran under furniture or tried to root his quivering little snout under my bloomers at the first rumble of thunder.
Jealous. We don't get much in the way of thunderstorms on the Oregon coast. Sometimes we will get one looooong roll of thunder and that's it. We get hail sometimes and we definitely get some major crazy storms though. Super high winds and lots of rain.

I feel ya. I lived in SF for about six years—only two storms the whole time, and people were not used to it. They talked about it for days and mild thunderstorms were on the front page of the paper.
Of course, earthquakes: no problem!
Go hide under the bed !

Ha! I wouldn’t miss it for the world! I lived on the west coast for a few years, and it almost never stormed. I think that crashing chaos is sexy.
