The Super states in the article that they’ve NEVER had an incident where they needed an AED. Then why all the time and resources to push for it!? Am I missing something here!? 🤠

They never needed one in an NFL game, until they did. There is one young man, and his family that are very happy they were available. I taught CPR in the 70s to hundreds of people, during the 5 years I was in the area, I don't know of one person that used or even had the opportunity to use the training. I only used it once, and that person was very glad that I had the training because no one else around did. When the paramedics arrived, she was in recovery and they were just taking vitals and transporting.

So I'm all for AED placement BEFORE they are needed.

These are healthy young kids on a school bus, not kids or adults playing high impact sports. Utterly different levels of risk.
Give me ONE example of a kid going into cardiac arrest on a school bus in the news, and I’ll consider your argument. I read news avidly every day from dozens of sources, and have yet to come across a single incident of an AED being needed on a school bus……🤷🏻♂️

@Aaron70 There are more than just students on those buses, there are drivers, monitors, teachers, they are also used for transporting athletes to and from competition. Definitely high impact sports.
The average age of male Bus drivers in the workforce is 53.9 and of female Bus drivers is 49.5, and the most common race/ethnicity for Bus drivers is White.
