It does seem in a simple way to be that way, it is a more complex human thing to have demons and gods somehow controlling things.
That's what the ancients all thought and that is how they explained everything. People still come to my door to argue their god and tell me to "look at the trees."
People and even US President's can get out of murder by blaming it on Satan or God told them to do it. Morals can be loosely put , where ethnic are simplified and mean business like, like stealing and murder.
That's a gross misunderstanding of scripture. Satan is not a scapegoat, although it's an interesting analogy. Satan is judgement, the accuser of the brethren, in a sense, it means that Satan recognized God's hypocrisy and then judged God for his hypocrisy, and he believed he would win, as Satan was considered blameless, he did no wrong, as God did. However, God then sacrificed his only son, and Jesus never cast judgement, using the law. In fact, he saved a whore from being stoned to death, legally, because the law required it, by saying, he who is without sin throw the first stone. Anyway, when Satan then accused Jesus of blasphemy, even though Jesus never cast judgement on anyone, then Satan committed his first murder. It's interesting that Satan is cast as a , because the jews used to cast their sins on goats and send it into the wilderness to absolve their tribe of sin. To get back to the point, Jesus was murdered even though he never judged anyone, exposing Satan amd the law as hypocrisy, and God, the universe, is accurate, the law is made up bullshit, as is your so called morality
