I try to meditate daily, try being the operative word. I think I just found a new favorite meditation.
Pretty much how i fall asleep.....works great!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Breathing in....bullshit out! HC...you can lead a meditation class!
I have a meditation app on my phone, and my FitBit has a meditation feature. The meditation app costs me, so I try to use it. It doesn't always happen. I don't want to lead a class, I am not into classes.
@HippieChick58 OK...I was thinking of the fun you could have...leading a group of people into your mantras!
Love this! I wish I could use this during my meditation part for my chair yoga classes!
I've tried meditation using various methods. Problem is, my motor mind takes over. After reading a book about mindfullness meditation I devised my own habit. In 2018 I was in a bicycle accident and developed some issues, rotator cuff, whiplash and a few others. I went to a therapist and learned the value of stretching. I came up with 6 different stretching moves (which includes the eyes and facial muscles) and in between each move I take in a deep breath and concentrate on some aspect I need to have (like calmness and sleep to name a couple). Start off with the breathing and focus and then a stretch and so on (since mind fullness involves the senses one item involves smelling certain odors). All this takes 15 minutes and leaves no time for distractions.
Hopefully, meditation should focus on positive things for one. We/I don't need to be reminded of all the crap going on in the world. Being in the setting I am presently in helps but there's another kind of crap which produces its own kind of stress.
