I wonder why his followers can't see that he's using them as fools. Constantly feeding them lies. Abusing them financialy. And leading them to a world of anguish. Or is there somethere greater at state. Or do accept being. Then again, has he convinced his followers that when they become the minority, they will have power to control the masses.

They WANT to believe, they NEED to believe, in him. He feeds their hate, fears, and insecurities.

The infamous con man, M. Lamar
Keene, states it very well:
"The true-believer syndrome merits
study by science. What is it that
compels a person, past all reason, to believe the unbelievable. How can an otherwise sane individual become so enamored of a fantasy, an imposture, that even after it's exposed in the bright light of day he still clings to it — indeed, clings to it all the harder?… NO AMOUNT OF LOGIC CAN SHATTER A FAITH CONSCIOUSLY BASED ON A LIE." —
M. Lamar Keene

They know he is a pathological liar and a degenerate, they simply disregard those facts because they believe he gives them what they believe they should have, all the while he is grifting them. They easily believe that they are victims.

Eric Hoffer explains it very well:

"When the weak want to give an impression of strength they hint menacingly at their capacity for evil. It is by its promise of a sense of power that evil often attracts the weak." - Eric Hoffer

That is why they are attracted to Trump.

"That self-hatred should generate in us an eagerness to unite with others seems to suggest that it is primarily against ourselves that we league ourselves with others." - Eric Hoffer

They have no resources within themselves, they are self-rejecting, and will embrace the most vile and evil of characters.

"It has often been said that power corrupts. But it is perhaps equally important to realize that weakness, too, corrupts. Power corrupts the few, while weakness corrupts the many. Hatred, malice, rudeness, intolerance, and suspicion are the faults of weakness. The resentment of the weak does not spring from any injustice done to them but from their sense of inadequacy and impotence. We cannot win the weak by sharing our wealth with them. They feel our generosity as oppression." - Eric Hoffer

Offer them facts, they reject you, offer them truth, they hate you, offer them solutions and common sense, they deride you because they believe you think you are better than them.

"The fanatic is not really a stickler to principle. He embraces a cause not primarily because of its justness or holiness but because of his desperate need for something to hold onto." - Eric Hoffer

"The fanatic is perpetually incomplete and insecure. He cannot generate self-assurance out of his individual resources - out of his rejected self - but finds it only by clinging passionately to whatever support he happens to embrace. This passionate attachment is the essence of his blind devotion and religiosity, and he sees in it the source of all virtue and strength - He easily sees himself as the supporter and defender of the holy cause to which he clings. And he is ready to sacrifice his life." - Eric Hoffer, Author of The True Believer

"Give people pride and they'll live on bread and water, bless their exploiters, and even die for them. Self-surrender is a transaction of barter: we surrender our sense of human dignity, our judgment, our moral and esthetic sense for pride. If there is pride in being free we are ready to die for liberty. If there is pride to be derived from an identification with a leader, we grovel in the dust before a Napoleon, Hitler [Trump] or Stalin and are ready to die for him. If there is distinction in suffering, we search for martyrdom as for hidden treasure." - Eric Hoffer

Trump gives them excuses and pride for being hateful, ignorant, violent and aggressive, and for not participating in American Democracy. They become un-American, you will probably notice their affinity for dictators.

They are the perfect pawns for dictators.

He is a mental virus. Once someone has been infected by him there is no treatment and no cure.

As he has said, he loves the poorly educated. A lot of his followers don't, or can't read beyond a 3rd grade level. They believe in Fox news, and vote with their wallets, not their conscience. They haven't been educated to watch out for con artists. They are easily tricked into believing that there is an enemy within, and that Trump will fix it all for them. They are superstitious, too, and their religions support tRump worship. They can't see that this is idolatry, supposedly a bad thing in the Xtian religion. Being prejudiced and misogynistic helps to fuel their beliefs. Kamala Harris, being a Black woman of color, is a target for their hatred. Years of poorly run public education (starting with "no child left behind of the Reagan years) and the participation trophy attitude contributed to this. Our country is so f'ed up. :'( Even if Kamala wins, we'll still be stuck with these dolts for a long time to come.
