Americans & political voting are equally prone to ignoring the facts.

Yeah. It seems both sides believe the other side has their facts wrong.

I suppose this statement was true 15 years ago.
Now bigotry and willful ignorance are seen as virtuous traits across the board. Election Day was certainly proof of that.🤠

Even now people talking to me assume I am a Trump supporter. Not so. In fairness I do have one thing to say about our border policies. Trump allowed the separation of children from their parents but so did Biden. It is impossible to put parent and child together again. Adopted and gone. Is it plain slavery or is it sexual slavery? IDK. What I do know is that Trump's new border czar says we can keep parents and children together and also deport them together.

@DenoPenno Your first mistake would be to believe ANYTHING coming from his Nazi border czar….🤷🏻♂️

Politics in the age of Trump is also all about ignorance.

Not true. You will find many beholden to a group and thus their doctrine feel virtuous when confronted with facts.
A fanatical football fan for example who supports "The best team ever", disregarding any stats. A soldier will kill against his base instincts and morality. Both examples beholden to a group and it's doctrine.

Indoctrination retards/ restricts the mind, making it defend the doctrine/ group against all reason and logic. Sure, religions are the masters of the indoctrination process, but they don't have a monopoly on it.
