Do you, dear atheists and agnostics, have any religious music you particularly love or hate? I love quite a few Christmas caroles, Gospel Music, and "Faith" songs such as How Can I Keep From Singing?, Simple Gifts, Light One Candle, and The Wedding Song. I hate most of the Christian rock stuff I come across while adjusting my radio dial.

J.S. Bach rocks & can pull the heart strings.
Love the less played Xmas songs such as We 3 Kings, All Thru the Night, Oh Little Star Of Bethlehem, Oh Holy Night, Oh Tannebaum, Its Xmas.
I used to love Xmas.
Fabulous decorations on State St. in Chicago. Snow. Chestnuts, hot buttered rum, & pine scents.
Good friends who shared loves warmth.
Things have changed & not for the better. But I hold on to those memories as they do still bring joy.

I still like some of the Mannheim Steamroller songs.

I dig on bluegrass and old stuff like the Louvin Brothers, the Delmore Brothers, and the Carter Family. I don't really get into big churchy gospel, but sometimes I listen to Mahalia Jackson, the Staple Singers, and stuff like that. So the answer is yes.

Much like Greg Graffin of Bad Religion who grew up a choir boy said about their Christmas album.

"I remember fun singing events," Graffin says of his childhood performances. "It wasn't about a religious feeling or celebrating a sacred time. It was just really fun performing these songs."

I feel the same way. I love Christmas and Christmas songs/carols/etc. Only one I can't fucking stand is that fucking Christmas Shoes song but I like them for nostalgic purposes now over religious reasons.

I like how Tim Minchin expresses it in "White Wine in the Sun": Some of the hymns that they sing have nice chords but the lyrics are dodgy

I love the Christmas song "O Holy Night." Gets to me every time I hear it. Such a gorgeous, sweeping melody... And I was raised Jewish, so that's two reasons why I "should'nt"!
