Did anybody grow up with nicknames? I imagine a lot of us did. My younger brother couldn't pronounce my name and it came out as "Trashy". So, to this day, this is what he calls me! I would miss this name if anything happened to him, even though it's not very classy, but funny just the same.
I hated my nicknames. "Pee-Wee" and "Pipsqueak" as I was a tiny little thing for a girl.
As a little kid I was Jamie, but that stopped in 1st grade.
I didn't really have a nickname again until college, when some of the other artsy-fartsy kids thought I looked like Julian Sands in the movie Warlock. Hence my username
I like it! My sister was named Elizabeth. When ibwas an infant and learning to speak i called her little bits. We are both over 60 and its still my nickname for her.
The Instigator as a kid, Fro and Fluffy in high school...
I always wanted one when I was a kid but no nicknames in my family. I finally got one during my wild years when I lived in South Florida; took a while but at least got it in my 20's!!
Would you like to share it with us?
My friends started calling me cashflow for a variety of reasons.
My mother disapproved of nicknames, so we had none. She was much more tolerant of name calling.
I can't even repent the names I was called, but I was referring to more funny, loving names.
