I see these so called "Christians" who want to see the Ten Commandments on Government buildings, schools and what have you...
I as a man whose been an atheist since the age of 7 .....want to see the JEWISH COMMANDMENTS ON THESE BUILDINGS....
Why? (I assume you are asking..)
Simple...
The "Christians" savior was JEWISH....
He kept KOSHER (Had to back then..no refrigeration for one reason..), he'd be I assume circumcised...and sigh..he never called his mother....
And lived under the JEWISH RELIGION....which has...
613 (COUNT THEM) yes...613..SIX HUNDRED THIRTEEN COMMANDMENTS.......
Now if these yahoos can't manage 10...just sit back and watch their heads explode when they have to deal with 613 of them them....hee hee hee...
And hey, just remind them...THIS IS WHAT YOUR SAVIOR LIVED WITH...IF IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM THEN IT ONLY STANDS TO REASON IT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU.....

You are correct but the religious powers that be today want to see Thou shalt have no other gods before me carved into a court house wall.

The original 10 commandments came from Moses. a Jew, long before Jesus arrived.
Hence, there is a fallacy in your comments.
I would like to see a BRAND NEW set of concise guidelines, that make no mention of mythical beings, but instead concentrate on GOOD social behaviour.

Thanks for clarifying that for me..My point was this..613 Commandments in the Jewish religion. The masses cannot live with the 10 guidelines as it is. So having them have to live with 613....their heads will explode. Do you know if there were 613 Jewish commandmwnts back in Moses time?
