I think it's ironic how kids are taught to believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa, the Tooth Fairy, etc., and then when all those lies are uncovered, they still expect you to believe in the 'invisible man in the sky' who loves you, but will fry your ass solid if you fuck up. Do I sound bitter? hahaha j/k

When my son was figuring out the tooth fairy et al, he said, "At least there is evidence for the tooth fairy."

George Carlin remarked how we can believe in scriptures without question, but when we see a "wet paint" sign, we touch it to make sure.
"Obvious" evidence is often no help. A kid caught her dad putting a dime under her pillow and taking her tooth, and concluded that her dad was the tooth fairy.
The Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus teach us all we need to know about gods... but we don't get it.
