Came home today to see some buds on my Princess Flower starting to open! (I missed it last time, so want to document the progress!)

Beautiful!

Thanks! I'm excited to see the change when l get home today!?

How did you miss it? Are the blooms short-lived?
I know I can look it up, but it's more fun to share info.

They aren't short lived, it was just on the back side of the bush and l missed a day or so of being outside...it bloomed when l wasn't looking, so l missed the opening process....

@Free_2B_Me Ah, OK. Same thing happens to me with my iris'.

Nice.

there is an app you can get called clay frames

Unclear as to your point....what does that have to do with this flower/plant...???

@Free_2B_Me it gets your phone to take a picture every so often and you could actually film the flowers opening.

Goddamn! That sounds sexy. (It's been too long)

Please refrain from those types of innuendos on my posts...

@Free_2B_Me wow. I'll do better than that.

2

already pretty.

I was surprised myself at how crisp and delicate it looked!?

@Free_2B_Me they're baby flowers.

@hankster Baby birds, baby frogs, and baby flowers! Oh MY!?

I admire people who can grow things. I have a black thumb. I’ve killed rhubarb. But hey....my kids are still alive!

It's funny...l can grow all kinds of things, but l can kill a cactus everytime!?

I’m a flower lover. Will that grow outside in central Texas? Can it tolerate mild winters?

I'm in central Texas and bought it at a local Lowe's....so yes!?

@Free_2B_Me
Liberty Hill? I’m about 70 miles north east of you. Can it stand the winters outside? I bought a hibiscus last summer, but I had to bring it inside last fall. That sort of defeats the purpose.

@Free_2B_Me

@Gatovicolo l couldn't tell you for sure, because l just got it this spring. I put it in a large pot versus in the ground to see how it does first, but wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't hardy in our zone....l'll check the tag and see what it says....

@Gatovicolo l had a hibiscus once...once!?

I have daffodils right outside my door. They have survived the harsher winters. Every year at this time they start to blossom as a little green bud and grow into a nice grass pretty quickly. Those first two three days every year is a friendly reminder that I am one more year closer to departure..... I love my yellow flowers for whatever reason

Any flower is a thing of beauty...?

2

Is this a low, sprawling kind of plant?

Not 100% sure...(would need to go read the tag again)...l believe it's more of a bush/shrub....

3

I look forward to seeing the blooms.

I had posted a pic in a previous post of one that was fully open...here it is again...

Nice

Alrighty...?

It gets better!
