This is convolvulus (morning glory). Nothing to do with your post, but I thought it made a nice picture.

That's funny, 'cause l just did a different post with morning glory! (It's not blooming yet, but it will....)
I took a Plant Taxonomy class with Minnesota Spring Flora book. The key was based on floral structure, so we spent a lot of time picking tiny flowers apart with a 10x hand lens.
The tragedy of Creationism: creationists are missing the most beautiful story in Creation.
You start looking at this stuff, and it leads you into all of biology and chemistry and physics and math and all of Nature -- it all starts from looking at stuff.

I will never understand the narrow mindedness of creationism....given time, experimentation, increased knowledge, etc., science eventually explains everything... just because you don't know how/why something exists is no reason to automatically say, "god made it"!...
what are they?

Not sure...this is my first time really seeing them. I would need to do some research!
Thanks to "Mark013" (above), l have discovered that they are Water Willow plants!
Great that you notice all these tiny wonders - I do too ! makes life so much richer .

Look like Water-willow plants. I grew up in an area with water and live near the Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge.

I will check into that....they normally just look like weeds growing up through the water, so not usually up that close. First time l noticed the flowers!?
I looked it up and l believe you're correct! The pics online weren't exactly like mine, but close enough! Thanks for the insight!? (l learned something new today!)
What state do you live in? Your profile says you live in "Liberty Hill" without the state.
Knowing the state and region helps identify flowers.

Apparently you have to list it manually...l thought it went by the zip code...l fixed it!?
