As long as the NRA and other Lobbyist line the pockets of OUR elected Officials...Nothing will be done. Politics nowadays is NOT about the PEOPLE and what is best for the COUNTRY it's about what do I get out of it...Just a real sad state of affairs. This is NOT the same Country I proudly served in the Military back in the day!!!

Sad. Very, very sad. Our kids are going to start experiencing something of what so many children in the Middle East have gone through if this doesn't get addressed. After awhile they can get inured to violence; it's not a good thing when that happens.

There will be “thoughts and prayers”, candle light vigils, news coverage of the shooter, the president pretending he is working on it, empty promises, gun enthusiasts pushing their narrative to protect the 2nd, and the left pushing against them.

But when the smoke settles, and the next tragedy happens; it will be forgotten, And the cycle continues.

Sadly, there was no one there to intervene. No one to stand between an armed madman and the school. I'd have thought more of Texas.

Im not sure to what you're referring. One of the injured was an officer working for the Santa Fe school district as a school resource officer, said Joe Giusti, a Galveston County commissioner. He's in critical but stable condition.

@Funnygir5
I stand corrected. I rarely much attention to the news. How'd he get by the LEOs?

I wonder if the students there will become activists. I wonder if they feel empowered by the actions of the Parkland kids.
