So I had to say my goodbyes to my sweet baby as he was hauled off today for a guy to enjoy demolishing. I'm not going to lie I did cry and I feel like I lost a family member almost. He was my first GOOD vehicle and we have been through so much together but he was always the most reliable and sturdy car I've ever known. I am unbelievably heartbroken that I murdered him in cold oil.

Rest in peace, Mjolnir. I love you.

Yup, we get attached to things because of the memories they represent....

He did look like a very good reliable guy. I hope he wound up with high mileage.

230k. He was a strong boy

@LadyAlyxandrea Oh yeah, you definitely got your moneys worth and then some.

@BobbyJaan yeah. 3 years, 80 miles a day, trips to omaha every month...he never even complained once. I could have saved him, but a new engine would have been 5 grand. I just couldn't do that, and who knows how well he would have done with a transplant like that

In happier news, the guy who bought mjolnir's corpse for smashing fun happened to have a really nice 08 escape that he said he would sell me for really cheap because he felt bad about my situation. (I actually did check it out and it is in good condition mechanically and cosmetically except it needs a good power scrubbing and maybe a detailing)

I spoke to my loan officer at the bank and she helped me refinance for 2k extra so I can buy it. Monday we are going to settle that and I can get my NEW baby.
