Where are my footie peeps?
(If you don't like sports, move on, nothing to see here and I don't give a damn about your anti opinion. Make your own damn post.)

So...who is your pick for the FA cup today?

Are you a member of our footie group? You need to be.

All you peeps across the pond....you can still enjoy a little off season football by watching Louisville City FC or LAFC on Youtube during your off season. (Shameless plug for my favs)

With the benefit of hindsight, Chelsea. Mind you, Man U in the first half played very badly, with stupidly inaccurate passes and dithering. The error that gave Chelsea the ball and which subsequently led to the penalty award against a desperate Jones was awful. It was not the best example of top flight football I have seen.
The best part of the event was that I quaffed 3 "Spanish sized" glasses of brandy (roughly 1/4 of a bottle or a tad over) in my favourite bar whilst watching in some lively company.

Germany? Holland? I don't know a lot re soccer, just way prefer it to Aus. Rules or cricket. Seeing there are probably only 5 mill. anglo saxons here, and the balance being soccer playing nationalities, I am unsure why support for footy and cricket is so polarised, and does not look like diminishing in favour of the world game.

Happy to see Socceroos beat Czechoslovakia 4-0 and that Tim Cahill is in the fourth World Cup. I think we need him. Bert Van Marwijk has said he expects more of the team as they get closer in. I guess Czech's were not a real , just warm up practice. Looking forward to match ups, which I guess is not very patriotic of me, but I can't get too excited about Aussie rules with rule changes, fines, bad behaviour etc. Nothing new about that. I had very little interest at school, never played it at lunch time like the majority, similarly cricket. It's going to be an exciting month build up. I am looking forward to it.
