When I found this I had to scan for the answer also.
Brute force analysis/I eliminated the white space pretty quickly, then the larger strips, then the outer strips. then the left side. Wasn't much left after that. Had to pull the computer closer, though, so I could actually see detail.

Is was a bit of a tough one to see
@buzz13 Yes, I looked for shadow or anything out of alignment or breaking the pattern of the rug. In RL I would have just used a broom.

This incident supposedly really happened and they had a hard time finding it. You could readily see it if it was in 3-D
