I like astrology. I don't know if I believe it 100% but I do think there are forces in the stars, the galaxy, the alignments that change our behaviors. Much like a full moon brings on some strange occurances. We are all made up of star dust, so why is this thought process so far fetched to some? Your thoughts?

So what I'm seeing is everyone is about science and evidence. Well, I give humans more credit than that then. I think animal behavior sometimes intrigues humans because we have lost ourselves in a way, we stopped relying on our instincts. Animals do things in life that we cannot explain because it wasn't taught to them. I think there is something in us, as humans, that most people have shut down. Our bodies have the same elements that are found in space. We evolved over many years. I just don't see how certain things in space don't effect us. I really think Astrology is onto something. It's unfortunate that people have commercialized it so much and made it into a joke, or "magical" as one person said. I don't necessarily believe it's a way of fortune telling but just understanding why we do the things we do. I don't know. It makes sense in my head. Maybe the convo is too intense.

Just because you want something to be real doesn’t mean that it is real. When there no evidence to back it up. And all evidence points to it being wrong. You just have to admit to yourself you are wrong.

@Donto101 well now you sound like a christian claiming the only "truth" but it's none of my business.

@valerina no I sound like a atheist saying it doesn’t make sense to believe something without evidence. You are the one that sounds like a Christian wanting to believe in something just because you want wish it to be true. But that’s cool if you want to believe in that there is something to it go right ahead. Just don’t expect a bunch of skeptics to believe in it too when you can’t come up with any evidence to back up that belief. This isn’t really the forum to bring it up in if you want validation in your belief. I hope this or the other comments don’t come off as being mean. I’m really not trying to be. You have the right to believe what ever you want evidence to back it up or not. I personally put astrology in the same category as flat earthers antivaxers and fortunetellers. I don’t claim that the alignment of the planets and stars don’t effect our lives destiny and actions. I’m just saying there is no credible evidence to that being the case.

The moon (together with the sun) influences tides. That is all (http://www.berkeleywellness.com/healthy-mind/mood/article/moon-mood-connection ).

I'm certainly open to peer-reviewed science that demonstrates influences of celestial bodies on human affairs. Do regale us with it when you find it.

Sounds magical and cultish to some

Astrology is for people who don't believe in God but still want claptrap in their life.

It is far fetched because there is no evidence to back it up.
