6 days off from work! Boy oh boy do I need it. I'm in a love hate relationship with my work right now and wanting to figure out how to wind down to part time and retiring a few years early. The stress is slowly killing me. I want to enjoy the time I have left , not spend it in road rage traffic and overtime. So I came home today and decided to decorate my garden with a love of mine! Wine...well, the empties anyway..lol
Love the way they look sprouting from the dirt I am happy with the little things that make me smile.
Cheers to eveyone's weekend!
Enjoy in whatever way is meaningful for you . Please share
Even after I retired it was hard for me to slow down. Get out of that rat race mode. But I have made it now. feels so good to have nothing I have to do just what I won't to do . Now this is living.
@Stargazer13 I do wish you luck. Even when you get out of the race it still takes a while for the mental part of it to slow down.
Have to say that the retirement gig has a lot going for it... I shoulda done it years ago! Hope these will be relaxing days of welcome decompression
Those of us who retired early have varied reactions as would be expected. Mine has been overwhelmingly positive!
You do know there are metal frames that turn those empties into a tree. I understand retiring while you still have the health to enjoy it. I dropped out of college when I figured out I was going to spend my last healthy years in class to get a better paying job to retire from as soon as I start working.
So now I spend my time off camping and paddling, unless I spend it flying or riding the bike. Cheers!
what kind of work do you do?
@Stargazer13 It never ends does it? I work in mental health too
@Stargazer13 yes. take care of your brain!
