I agree with you.

I would also like to see a food category - dining, food discussions, favorites, weird food, etc.

I am not a fan of using groups for everything. If one wants to be thoroughly engaged with others here, they would need to be a member of many groups.

I'd rather see categories where everybody is automatically member, and still have some specialized, but not many, groups.

I'm in favour of setting up your own group for the sport you like. I think small groups are best since you can see what everyone says. Big groups are a bit useless without a search function though I understand something is being done in that direction.

And weird sports. Here in Thailand I'm a fan of sports nobody has ever heard of, but I suppose not enough people here care about cow fighting, and petanque.
