1:30am Friday. Step outside to smoke. Can hear the roar of the plants 2 miles down the road. Hot and humid outside. Ugh... can see a bloom cloud over the plants cooling tower. Glad I'm not working anymore.

New Mexico sounds pretty good.
6:30am, Friday, May 25th, 2018... outside my back door looking towards the south. This is coming off my old jobs cooking tower. The refinery is probably 2 miles away.

At least you can't see the towers. You have a beautiful power pole to look at instead! And the drums to listen to!

One thing I don't miss about The South is the weather. At 5,000 ft. in No. Colorado, I can sit out on my back porch anytime during the summer and not be uncomfortable. Often time I need a sweatshirt or light jacket. Very few insects, too. Sure, winters can have cold stretches, but nothing like it used to be.

Now that's awesome... we have hurricanes. I need to get it all checked out again. Fuel and generators.
I've always liked those nights where everything is so calm, the wolves are totally silent and only the moon seems to howl... I think I need to get some sleep now, take care, later.

considering he mentioned a 'cooling tower' Im assuming power, most likely coal.
Refinery and aluminium and chemical and tire and plastic. Its all around me.

@VAL3941 I retired ok... I am saying opportunity is all around us. It's up to you to understand this and to acquire the skills to apply for these jobs. We have had to build housing called man camps to shelter thousands of workers from elsewhere to work here. Louisiana did not have the people or the housing for them.
