@mordant I think that the churches are already rich, just look how the so called pastors live, and I do not think he gives a fig about godly cover. All he wants is their votes and their adoration. After all he is a narcissitic psychopath.

@Jolanta Some churches have a lot of money and power, many don't, e.g., your country church with 50 members on a good day who can't afford a piano tuner. They all think they are one step away from being fed to the lions even when they do have money and power. And reality does not comport with their fantasy of a theocracy. So yes they are seeking more of both money and power. As for Trump he doesn't give a fig about god or religion but needs the support and enablement of god-botherers.
