How many others are 'Owl People' ? It could be anything from a fascination with owls, owl watchers, owl symbolism or just an affinity with this most elusive and solitary of birds.
Being from the Great White North I have a special fondness for Snowy Owls, they will come as far south as my home on an island in the St. Lawrence River but only when the winter is particularly bitter. The barn owls are back although I haven't seen them yet, only heard them.
IF you're really into it, you can find falconing groups.... owls can be kept, trained, and can even hunt for you. Can provide great husbandry.

I've been hearing them for awhile. Havent heard them in a week.
Owls are super cute. And beautiful too. I'm reminded of the speed camera photo of a snowy owl in Quebec that went viral a few years ago.
I think you mean this pretty girl. Female snowy owls have black banding and the males are almost solid white.

I'm guessing you linked the same one I'm thinking of. Unfortunately the link wouldn't . But thank you anyway.
Fun fact: Barn owls are the most silent bird in flight of all birds on earth due to a special feature in their feathers. They create the least amount of friction when cutting through the air. Also, the are the only owls that cannot hunt in the rain as their feathers are not waterproof so of there is a long period of consistant rain, they are likely to starve to death.
I see snowy owls in Colorado.
Me. Totally. I am absolutely enamored with these raptors. Bats as well. I follow multiple sites on social media for both owls and bats.
